1765 Land Grant of Daniel Neyle (later Nail) located in the New Windsor Twp. Of Edgefield County. I believe that this twp. Is the site of today’s Fripp Island (north of Savannah) If it is, several families owned substantial lands on the island and created a community unto themselves after the Revolutionary War.
LWT of John Cleveland of Orange County dated 1778. He named all of his children plus grandchildren. Witnesses: Bartlett Bernard, Sarah Smith and Mary Smith. Includes an inventory equaling some 6606 pounds!
The John Adams family of Edgefield County and his descendants are included in the “folder collection”; many Adams’ references are given. This superb collection lists other Adams families such as Martin Adams, etc. and details the county records for each of them.
