Migratory Paths. Where did they go?


People that resided in Abbeville and Edgecombe counties, South Carolins followed the path into Georgia so that they could draw free land in th lotteries, beginning about 1802 and ending in 1827. There a great agricultural need to find better soil. When the Creeks and Cherokees were finally out of Georgia, the last departure being in 1836, a flux of Virginians and Carolinians migrated into Georgia. So, that is the next place to search.
