Charleston, South Carolina contains about 400 years of surviving records and during the early 17th and 18th centuries, many immigrants went there first.  Therefore, it is a city not to overlook.  The Miles Brewton House is located at 27 King Street in Charleston, South Carolina. It was built ca 1769 and during the War Between the States was occupied by Brigadeer-General Alexander Schimmelfenning.
