SC Bible Records published to www.southcarolinapioneers.net

120 years old
Throughout the ages, it was a custom to keep old bibles in the home, often open face.  As time passes, however, more and more of these old bibles are lost at the time that the owner dies and his stuff is disposed of.  I have seen old family papers, photos and bibles burned in the yard after funerals.  Today, genealogists would love to get their hands on these records!  Organizations such as the
D. A. R. has been known to collect bibles and copy them.
Over the past 50 years or so, I have made an effort to collect old bibles and publish them into books. The NC-SC Bible Records by Jeannette Holland Austin is currently available to members of South Carolina Pioneers
